Covid-19 Update

Before the Coronavirus guidelines had been issued and before it was known what the horrendous impact would be in nursing homes and residential care facilities, we had made the decision to cancel services at Abbey Road Villa.

We were noticing that several of our church members were struggling with upper respiratory infections during the service on March 11th and knowing how vulnerable our church members were to viral infections, we made the difficult decision to no longer have our services until it was safe to do so. It was two weeks later that Abbey Road was closed to all visitors and the residents were not permitted to gather together outside of their rooms.

From the information we have, twenty of the sixty residents at Abbey Road have the Coronavirus and very sadly two of our church members have died. Out of the ten staff members, three of them have the Coronavirus.

UPDATED: January 2023
Sadly, we have had to permanently discontinue our church services at Abbey Road Villa. As a result of the pandemic, L.A. County Board of Health has mandated new requirements for residential care facilities that has made it impossible for us to continue to minister to the residents.
